About

It all started when...
When I was a young(er) lad, playing guitar in middle school bands, we were met with the challenge of recording demos so we could pitch them to venues and let our friends hear us play. So, I began to acquire recording equipment, but found it was quite expensive.... ...that is, if you buy it new. I discovered that used, broken gear went for a lot cheaper, and I could use my technical knowledge of circuitry and some soldering to get the gear I wanted for cheaper.

Fast forward a few years (12, to be exact), and I have now worked on everything from consoles, organs, and tape machines to the Alesis MicroVerb 4. During that time, I got my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester with a specialized focus on studio audio electronics. I have also spent time interning at Sear Sound and Millennia Media, in addition to working on music for myself and others.
